Alissa Moreno wrote the Grammy nominated and CMT Video of the Year song "Every Day" for Rascal Flatts. Alissa is a renowned piano and vocal talent. She was the vocal coach for Ben Affleck's award winning performance in the film "Hollywoodland" (Focus Features 2006) starring Adrian Brody and Diane Lane. She also is an actress, appearing in commercials, indie films, and creating and starring in Los Angeles Independent Film Festival short film "Superchicks." Born on a Navajo Indian Reservation in New Mexico to parents who are teachers, Alissa was raised in Albuquerque, later to live in Santa Fe. After college, she went on a vacation to Kona, Hawaii, and decided to stay for more than a year. It was here that she had the opportunity to spend time with her grandfather, Bob Moreno, who had toured and written with Mel Torme and Matt Dennis. As the top pick for the Benny Goodman show as drummer, Bob could not read tablature and lost the gig. He encouraged Alissa to continue studying music profusely, leading her to be an extraordinary musician and songwriter.

As part of the Live at the Palm series, Nashville Chicks with Hits will perform at the Michael D. Palm Theatre on Friday, March 27. This evening of Nashville-style fun begins at 7:00 p.m. The ladies will be on the stage with their guitars singing the hits they wrote, and telling the stories behind the songs, including Blake Shelton’s GOOD AT STARTIN’ FIRES by Sherrie Austin, Leann Rimes’ NOTHIN BOUT LOVE MAKES SENSE by Kylie Sackley, and Rascal Flatts’ Grammy-nominated EVERY DAY by Alissa Moreno. The members of Nashville Chicks have a long-list of individual songwriting credits.
The Alex LeVasseur Memorial Fund presents the 8th Annual Jeffrey Steele & Friends, an intimate evening hosted by Storme Warren with Delbert McClinton, Chris Janson, LoCash Cowboys, and Jeffrey Steele & The Circus featuring: Jeffrey Steele, Alyssa Bonagura, Adam James, Brandon Hood, Davis Nash, The Shuggah Pies, and Alissa Moreno. Proceeds benefit the Alex LeVasseur Memorial Fund of The Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee.
