Alissa Moreno wrote the Grammy nominated and CMT Video of the Year song "Every Day" for Rascal Flatts. She has collaborated with noteworthy music industry veterans including Matt Scannell of Vertical Horizon, songwriter/producer Jamie Houston (Kid Rock, Macy Gray, Santana, High School Musical, Wreck-It Ralph), Alex Da Kidd (Rhianna, Eminem),  Harvey Mason Jr. (Whitney Houston, Chris Brown), composer John Swihart ("Napoleon Dynamite"), Jeffrey Steele (Rascal Flatts, Faith Hill), Bob DiPiero (Montgomery Gentry, Tim McGraw), Rivers Rutherford (Tim McGraw, Toby Keith), David Baerwald and Kevin Hunter (Sheryl Crow), Tony Scalzo and Miles Zuniga of Fastball, Big Al Anderson (Vince Gill, Tim McGraw, NRBQ), Sarah Buxton (Keith Urban, Big & Rich, ABC's Nashville), Nicky Chinn ("Hey Mickey" and "Ballroom Blitz"), Jeff Silbar ("Wind Beneath My Wings"), Shane Stevens (Lady Antebellum),Cary Barlowe (Lady Antebellum, Carrie Underwood, Toby Mac), Bridgette Tatum (Jason Aldean), Phil Barton (Lee Brice), Chas Sandford (Chicago, Stevie Nicks, John Waite), and Kurtis John, lead singer of The Last Good Night and writer of "Pictures of You."

 

Moreno's music has also been featured on MTV hit shows including, "Laguna Beach,""The Hills," and "Newport Harbor." In addition to co-writing and singing the theme of the ABC show "Hope & Faith" (second season), her song "Far From Here" was used in radio, television, internet and movie theaters to promote the hit series "Army Wives" from the producers of "Grey's Anatomy." You may have heard her music on television shows including "How I Met Your Mother (CBS), "The Vineyard" (ABC Family), "Cheer" (CMT), "Texas Women" (CMT) "Wonderfalls" (FOX), "The Drive" (CMT),  "Guiding Light" (CBS), "Days of Our Lives" (NBC) and a variety of other projects including films such as the Quentin Tarantino produced "Daltry Calhoun" (Miramax), and the Slamdance Feature Film "Mall Cop."


Alissa is a renowned piano and vocal talent.  She was the vocal coach for Ben Affleck's award winning performance in the film "Hollywoodland" (Focus Features 2006) starring Adrian Brody and Diane Lane. She also is an actress, appearing in commercials, indie films, and creating and starring in Los Angeles Independent Film Festival short film "Superchicks." You can find Alissa performing most regularly in Nashville and LA at: Grand Ole Opry, Country Music Hall of Fame, Bluebird Cafe, Listening Room, Puckett's, House of Blues, Knitting Factory, The Viper Room, Kulack's Woodshed, and The Hotel Cafe.


Born on a Navajo Indian Reservation in New Mexico to parents who are teachers, Alissa was raised in Albuquerque, later to live in Santa Fe. After college, she went on a vacation to Kona, Hawaii, and decided to stay for more than a year. It was here that she had the opportunity to spend time with her grandfather, Bob Moreno, who had toured and written with Mel Torme and Matt Dennis. As the top pick for the Benny Goodman show as drummer, Bob could not read tablature and lost the gig. He encouraged Alissa to continue studying music profusely, leading her to be an extraordinary musician and songwriter.
